MassHealth Accepted
Hello, and welcome. I am Candace.
As a mother of four, I know firsthand that bringing a baby into the world is one of life’s most transformative and unpredictable experiences. My journey to becoming a doula was born not just from personal experiences in motherhood, but through a unique path of science, professional support, and profound healing.
With a degree in Biology, I have a deep appreciation for the incredible physiology of pregnancy and birth. I love helping families demystify the birthing process—particularly through comprehensive pain management education. Breaking down medical terminology allows parents to make confident, informed decisions. Additionally, my work as a Tobacco Treatment Specialist has grounded me in the art of non-judgmental counseling. I am deeply passionate about maternal health advocacy and supporting families through vulnerable, life-changing transitions with patience and grace.
In 2019, my life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with and survived a gestational cancer called choriocarcinoma. Navigating a medical crisis surrounding pregnancy fundamentally shifted my perspective on care. It taught me the vital importance of having a fierce advocate present, the healing power of compassionate support, and the sheer resilience of the human body.
Whether a birth is straightforward or complex, and whether the feelings surrounding it are joyful or anxious, I bring my whole self to this work. I combine evidence-based knowledge with a deep, personal understanding of what it means to surrender to the unexpected. My goal is to serve as a steady anchor, ensuring every family feels heard, respected, and empowered every step of the way.

What exactly does a doula do?
A doula provides continuous physical, emotional, and educational support to you and your partner before, during, and after childbirth. Think of me as your professional birth advocate and comfort guide.
How does a doula work with my partner?
I don’t replace your partner; I empower them. I help them learn how to provide the best support, ensuring they feel confident and involved throughout the labor process.
Do you support home, hospital, or birth center births?
Yes! I support birthing individuals in all settings. My goal is to ensure you feel respected, informed, and safe wherever you choose to give birth.
When should I hire a doula?
It is best to reach out as early as possible in your pregnancy to ensure availability. However, I am always happy to discuss late-term inquiries—reach out and let’s see how I can help.
Are you available for prenatal and postpartum support?
Absolutely. Beyond labor support, I offer guidance on birth planning, comfort measures, and the transition into your postpartum journey.
How can I book a consultation?
You can easily connect with me through my link in bio to schedule a discovery call, where we can discuss your specific needs and birth preferences.
